Simms - Augusta

Augusta B. Simms, 75, died at 1 p.m. Friday at his home which is located aobut 3 miles NW of here on LaGrange Road. Mr. Simms, who lived here all his life was a retired farmer. He was a member of the Mormon church of Lafayette. Born Aug 25, 1886, he was a son of Louis and Ida Mae Mahan Simms. He was married May 7, 1914 to Lenora B. Robison. They were married here. Survivors include the wife; 3 sons, Charles A of Valparaiso; Lindy L of Brownsburg and Robert L of Crawfordsville, a daughter, Mrs. Helen Rivers of Rt 6, Crawfordsville; 10 grandchilren two nieces, and several cousins. He was preceded in death by a sister and brother. Funeral rites are set for 2 p.m. Monday at Hunt & Son Funeral Home here with Rev. John Servies in charge. Interment in Oak Hill Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects at the funeral home after 7 p.m. Saturday.
